About Me

Nicole Zwirn graduated in May of 2016 from the University of Colorado, Boulder, with a bachelor of science in environmental studies in ecology, along with evolutionary biology. Fascinated with how humans can better mesh with their environment, she recently served as an intern for Siemens Wind Power in Boulder, Colorado, where she worked as a member of the firm’s performance and acoustics team. In this position, she wrote procedure materials, conducted assistance with various fieldwork engagements, and coordinated a database online. Prior to this, Nicole Zwirn performed work at Kibbutz Lotan, an eco-village in Arabah Valley, Israel, where she developed her sustainable development skills via gardening, earth-friendly construction, and permaculture design.

In addition to working and attending to her scholastic duties, Nicole Zwirn volunteered as an assistant with Growing Gardens in Boulder, Colorado. During this time, she aided in matters related the facilities gardens and greenhouses, as well as providing general crop management services with an eye on environmental sustainability.
